Bresser Messier Telescoop OTA AR-102S/600 HEXAFOC

Don't let the price fool you, the OTA/focuser together are worth $250 in my opinion. Binoculars were blacking out until I twisted the eye cups up then they were perfect. I couldn't get a good focus then I spun the right diopter and voila, perfect. Mount/tripod is way too short for me unless Im sitting but it's a good height for young children. Probably even too short for a lot of teens. I bought this for my kids so that's ok. Optics were good, ep that comes with it is nice and sharp. All in all there isn't much to complain about, it's more than sufficient as an inexpensive yet worthy set up, although I may have to buy a taller mount if I want to use it myself or if my 13 year old gets any taller!

A nicely put together package that is easily transported. Only uses 1.25 eyepieces despite description saying otherwise, but focused tube is 2. Binocs and backpack surprisingly well built, tripod is light and smooth with adjustments for alt/as tension. Beautiful coatings on binocs, scope objective. Scope is tricky to collimate using typical 3 screw arrangement plus a fourth hex screw in center of knurled brass nut at rear for rotating the diagonal mirror to proper alignment with focuser. Telrscope is metal tube and high quality construction, with adjustable rack and pinion tension for very smooth focusing. Views are bright and impressive with very wide field. No finder scope needed with the side field of the 20mm included eyepiece. I needed something light with good quality. I really enjoy using the binocs to spot an object, then easily spotting it in the scopes wide field. Happy owner.
