I received a NexStar 127SLT telescope for Christmas this past December. After opening the box, I found it did not come with an AC/DC power adapter, and most reviewers said it was crucial to purchase one. I decided to order one from Celestron in order to make sure it was compatible. The adapter came, complete with Celestron’s name attached. Between weather and not having enough time for setup and tear down, I have only used the telescope for a total of 30 minutes. I was setting it up (putting in longitude and latitude, etc.) a few days ago, and when I moved it outside and plugged it in, the handheld controller started flashing, and none of the buttons worked. I looked up this condition and saw that it says when you have this situation it indicates the AC power adapter is bad, and needs to be replaced. 30 Minutes!!

Its perfect for me until I hit the lottery and buy a huge telescope. It has great optics easy to use it just takes practice and make sure its level and there is a bubble level on the tripod. There is all kinds of accessories to buy with the telescope. I get excited every time the sky is clear at night!!!

I bought this as my first telescope. I used my fathers big 10 dobsonian when ai was a kid but this is my first. Setup is a breeze the optical tube seems to be very well made and of high quality. The included eyepeices are okay but do leave something to be desired. Alignment was easy with 3 star alignment and the solar system alignment methods.I did have trouble getting the finder scope to perfectly line up, it wouldnt adjust far enough to center with the main tube but it got close enough to work. Definitely would but again. Recommended. I would also buy it from B&H PHOTO. I got my scope in 3 days and they had the cheapest price I could find AND FREE SHIPPING! Thanks B&H!
