De Yamaha MG10XU staat bekend als een zeer betrouwbare en duurzame compacte mixer. Veel gebruikers prijzen de stevige metalen behuizing en het feit dat hij jarenlang probleemloos meegaat bij repetities, live optredens en in kleine studio’s. De D-PRE microfoonvoorversterkers leveren een schone, heldere sound met weinig ruis, wat voor zang en spraak duidelijk wordt genoemd als pluspunt. De ingebouwde SPX-effecten met 24 presets worden vaak als handig en bruikbaar omschreven, vooral de reverbs en delays voor live gebruik. Ook de geïntegreerde USB-interface is praktisch voor eenvoudige opnames en streaming, al is deze wel beperkt tot 2-in/2-uit, wat voor meerkanaals recording een beperking vormt. Een ander veelgenoemd minpunt is dat het model met draaiknoppen werkt in plaats van faders, waardoor nauwkeurig mixen voor sommige gebruikers minder prettig is. Voor wie een compacte, robuuste alles-in-één oplossing zoekt met goede klank en basis-USB, is dit echter een zeer sterke keuze, mits je de beperkingen in USB-kanalen en effectflexibiliteit accepteert.

From purchase to setup was straight forward. Delivery was quick as was getting my head around ehich cables I needed. I can now manage my sound effectively and no more clipping. I’d highly recommend it as a first mixing desk for playing music, listening to backing tracks and recording. A great product!!

My first purchase form Guitar Guitar Yamaha mixer simple and easy to use and great value. I’m using the mixer with Yamaha DXR 8 mk 11 Speakers also purchased from Guitar Guitar after I got the mixer and I’m Absolutely delighted with both purchases The sound for vocals and music is fantastic

The output level indicator suddenly ceased to be so sensitive when using microphone input (which is all I use), despite the output level actually being fine. At normal output levels, the meter barely flickered. When the meter indicates normal output levels, it is actually WAY too loud. I returned it to Anderton's for repair under guarantee but they say they cannot replicate the fault (they did not try using a microphone input) and have returned it to me. I have now bought a Mackie mixer from elsewhere and it performs just as the Yamaha used to. An initial disappointment with the mixer was that the USB output is taken BEFORE the final output stage and was, in my opinion, too low a signal. This was solved by taking the main output and putting it through an analogue to digital converter (ie not using the mixer's USB capability). Would I buy this mixer again? No

Great upgrade from my Yamaha MG102C that I've had for 12 years. Now I get XLR out and FX! Expecting the same durability and quality from this!

I have the MG16XU, but I needed a mixer for my smaller DJ booth. Make sure you have really decent male xlr inputs, or the pins will bend due to the universal socket, I've swapped to jacks. Only thing I find missing, is there is no indicator on the PFL button to show which channel is being monitored, so if you are a karaoke host or similar, dealing with multiple people singing at different levels, you might find that a little inconvenient. It also doesn't use a standard kettle lead like the MG16XU, but instead uses a powerbrick. Otherwise, nice simple to use mixer with decent effects
