stay away from the cheap scanners and buy a symbol. They won't disappoint. Used off of the auction sites are a better deal.

I had a Omni-directional scanner before, but its motor broke. Than I got a 35$ Tao scanner, while it works alright on paper and plastic surface, but it can't read codes on cans and some deformed codes (ex: eggs, rounded packing) and codes behind plastic packaging are also hard to read. This LI2208 is my current scanner, satisfied, I'd give it a 8/10. if this broke, I'd go back to omni-directional ones for convenient store uses.

We had issues with other brands being replaced after 3-6 months

Out of all the different scanners we tried, we like this one the best!

I will purchase again. The cost is worth the speedy scanning.
