De Philips AVENT handkolf wordt vaak aanbevolen voor moeders die af en toe willen kolven of discreet onderweg melk willen afkolven. Hij is licht, compact en eenvoudig in elkaar te zetten, met een redelijk sterke zuigkracht voor een handmatige kolf. De prijs ligt duidelijk lager dan bij de meeste elektrische modellen, wat hem aantrekkelijk maakt als tweede kolf of voor incidenteel gebruik. Tegelijk geven veel gebruikers aan dat langdurig pompen vermoeiend is voor de hand en dat de kolf minder efficiënt en trager is wanneer je meerdere keren per dag moet kolven. Het kleine ventiel en andere onderdelen kunnen wat priegelig zijn bij schoonmaken en in elkaar zetten. Ook is er maar één maat borstschild, waardoor de pasvorm niet voor elke tepel- en borstvorm ideaal is. Voor incidenteel gebruik en als compacte reis- of werkoplossing is dit een goede, betaalbare optie, maar voor intensief dagelijks kolven kiezen veel moeders liever een elektrische of dubbele kolf.

Not sure if we received a faulty pump, it simple could not get the milk out at all unfortunately.Not sure if the duckbill valve is faulty, but just no milk so far. tried the whole 1 month, no milk suction.

This product started off great! I found I was able to get some extra milk after I was finished with my electric pumps, and all was great. Progressively over the course of a month and a half, the pump became more cumbersome to use (parts would constantly slip or not stay in place, and piles of leaking while I’d be trying to pump). The parts to replace are expensive and you may as well just buy a new pump at that point. Overall, I was largely disappointed with how it all turned out and I’ve decided to spend my money elsewhere for the replacement manual pump.

I received this as a product test from Phillips. It is light weight and was convenient to take out and about. It is quite small and fit into most bags. Comfy and quick to use. What more can you ask for….except a small electric one.

I really like this breast pump. It’s comfortable and easy to use. It’s also easy to sterilise and it’s great that the mill goes directly in to a bottle.It’s a handy size so easy to pack when out and about also.
