This bag fits Nikon AF-S 600 mm f/4 E with almost no extra space. Yet, the small amount of space which is left, is sufficient for extra padding around the lens. Quality of the bag looks reasonable for the bag made in China. After the failure of the first version of this bag, hopefully the Nikon learned the lesson, and this version will be reliable as the lens is. Overall it looks good and promising.

Its great hold my all gear perfectly good 1- 180-400mm f/4E TC1.4 FL ED VR 2- D850 & Battery grip attached to the Lens 3- small Binocular 4- medium tripod/monopod 5- memorys case 6- small cleaning bag ** you have to do some arrangement inside the bag for perfect fit I hope i can help

This case also fits my Nikon 800mm lens and 600mm. I use it all the time for international travel. You have to take some padding out but the 800 JUST fits and also goes into most overheads or under the seat in front of you. Yes, you have to be careful of it but it's a great way to carry your long lenses.

This could be the best soft case for long-range lens (up to 600mm.) Built with quality typical for Nikon. This may not be suitable for long distance hiking since it has only a shoulder strap and hand-carrying handle at the top. Other better option from other brand is available, but the size is too big, and over the limit for you to carry it on broad a flight, unless you have to check it as a baggage, which most of you may not want for your delicate lens. Nikon CL-L2 has a suitable size to allow you bring it on broad. To balance all, this one is still the best for Nikon 600mm. Note that for 600mm lens with hoods (reversely mounted in the front) you will need to remove all the provided thick cushion to fit it in (it should provide minimal protect for your lens.) Overall, good product.

Great for short trips carrying just a single lens. I actually like this bag on my shoulder. It just doesnt offer enough protection to use it in a professional capacity. Twice Ive had it roll off a luggage cart and both times the VR system on my 600mm lens broke. My fault for dropping it for sure but that is certain to happen traveling constantly.
