Since I began in photography, this filter has been my preferred ND4 filter. I have other brands, some of which give the image an objectionable color cast. This one doesn't -- at least to my eye.

I wanted a couple of extra stops for shooting on location with lights. But I've found it helpful even when I'm shooting indoors with lights. You do lose a little bit of clarity with this filter, but it's hardly noticeable.

If you like to use a flash outdoors with your lens wide open for Bokeh sometimes you can't shoot a fast enough shutter speed to sync with your flash, your only option is using a filter like this... great quality and the price is right.

Hoya makes very good filters. this filter is no exception, I cannot see any visible loss of quality from using it. I highly recommend it. I use this one on a Nikon 70-200 F/2.8 lens.

I purchased this filter to help lower my aperture when panning action in bright daylight. I've taken approx 100 shots with it and haven't seen any issues with image quality.
