Canon TS-E 45mm f 2.8 Tilt & Shift

If your looking for a lens for product shots I would highly recommend this lens. Gives you a great image and eliminates normal lens skew allowing you to capture an image in true perspective.

I have used this lens for ten years and it is probably the single most used lens in my bag. I am a commercial photographer doing interior, lifestyle, food and product photography for magazines and advertising. The normal angle of view and the ability to control the perspective make it my go-to lens in the studio. Obviously, its a specialty thing and not for everyone. Sharpness is good and the perspective control is what its all about. Cons are that the coverage is not great, so movement is kind of limited, and the tilt and shift can't be controlled independently of each other, they are fixed at perpendicular angles. However, there aren't a lot of PC lenses available and this one, along with canon's 90 TS, will be great assets in the studio. It's no 4x5, but its useable and convenient. I just purchased a new one to replace my beat up old one.

Thought I would try the lens for HDR landscapes. The chromatic aberration is so high that I get rainbows in the HDR results. Works fine for standard landscapes as long as I correct for the aberration. Probably can do the same thing in the multiple images needed for HDR but that multiplies the pain factor, literally. Generally the lens is well built and has served me well for food and product photography. However, HDR landscapes is not the thing for this lens.

I bought this lens for Architectural photography and it has some major issues. The chromatic aberration is extremely obvious. 100% zoom shows that the lens produces soft/muddy images even when perfect focus is achieved. Also the amount of shift capability is not sufficient enough to actually be useful. I would save your money and get the 24
