Good Points: Fast focusing and as sharp as a paper bag full of razorblades, Beautiful shallow depth of field wide open with a stunning fall off, amazing colour rendition with no operations Improvement Points: Some people find the floating element within the linear motor unnerving when the lens is not powered.

Ik heb in mijn vak veel lenzen mogen gebruiken, maar dit nagenoeg perfecte stuk glas verbaast mij elke keer weer. De scherptediepte en het zachte boeket op de achtergrond zijn waanzinnig mooi. Zoek maar eens op 'sample' afbeeldingen in uw browser.

Good Points: This lens is well built and the quality of the optics is superb. I don't consider myself a portrait photographer, being primarily a landscape photographer, but I am enjoying this type of photography more and more with this lens. Superb! Improvement Points: It's heavy but with good technique (and ibis) it's not a problem.
