A great complement to the Fujifilm primes. A very good value. The quality construction, compactness, wide view, and good optics make it a pleasure to use, Not for everyone (so wide, manual focus), but you know who you are.

IT'S SO TINY! As with most wide-angle lenses, there's definitely vignetting (that can be corrected in post), but the zero-d aspect of this lens (zero distortion) is actually really impressive. There is a characteristic wide-angle warping toward the edges, but lines are straight and the perspective feels clean. This is my first lens with Venus Optics, and I would shop again. The build is nice and solid. A manual aperture ring which I love and the focus is smooth and sharp.

I wish Fuji would let Laowa put in circuitry for AF, vignetting and exposure control. This is very easy to carry lens that can produce very good results if the usur is patient and knows how to use photo-editing programs on a computer.

I bought this lens on February and there is a small separation between the focusing ring and the blue line on the top of the lens, It feels like it could break in the future I wrote to B&H in order to try to fix it, I realized about this problem too late and I couldnt apply the store warranty, so They sugested me to contact Laowa directly to apply the lens warranty. Laowa just answered me once 15 days later in order to ask for pictures. Its been already more than a month and Im tired to wrote them several mails asking for any update, it just seems that they dont care.

Compact, light, beautifully made, sharp. There are a number of excellent reviews that can easily be found via a web search. This is a fully manual lens but the depth of field is generally large enough that one can focus crudely (or guess) and get the focus right. One negative for me is the absence of a chip, so that there is no record of the f-stop used. The obvious choice for those who want or need to travel light.
