Great quality macro lens from Japanese manufacture, is a good alternative so you are still not sure about buying a dedicated lens for macro.

Tested it once on 90mm macro. Sharpness seems comparable/better than when I use DCR-250. Focusing distance is really close and occasionally will miss locate the object. Create high vignetting when lens was zoomed out from 1:1

Further to my review of a few days ago, now that I have used all four Raynox close-up lenses again, I include what I feel was the most appealing of the photos I took, this with the MSN-202. This guy was enjoying some pollen in a daisy next to a patch of sunlight. Taken with a Nikon P900 super-zoom at 19mm (105mm equivalent). Cropped to remove vignette created by the close-up lens.

I use this close-up lens with a Nikon P900 zoomed out to its maximum 357mm optical (2000mm equivalent), to do telemacro work. I own four Raynox macro lenses of different strengths and am happy with all, for both ease of use and quality of results. Without any add-on lens, my set-up has a minimum focus distance of about 15'6, and with the MSN-202 added on, the mfd reduces to 1. The image is much larger than I can get using the Nikon P900 lens alone in its macro mode. There is more vignetting with the MSN lenses than the DCRs.

Great lens. Takes some skill to work, since working distance is very small, but has great optical quality.
