Fractal Design Core 1000 USB 3.0

Great brand. Solid case. Easy install, good cooling.

Does exactly what I need it to do and is good quality for the price point.

Really can't complain too much for the price. Once done it looks good and provides enough airflow for entry-mid tier systems. One thing is that with a mATX motherboard it is super tight to get in. I had a wifi board and had to fully remove the antenna connectors in order to make it fit, and I was still cringing and scraping the motherboard on metal. It's doable but I can see it being scary for first-time builders. With it being so small it can't fit a lot of coolers, so make sure to double-check CPU cooler height if you buy an aftermarket one.

I liked the huge grill on the front and side fan grill for all the airflow, I packed the side panels with sound dampening foam and used noctua fans in the one I built using an older core 2 quad system as a NAS for my household and it has 3 Drive bay options for ssd’s or HDD’s and has lots of external drive bay options as well, the one I built has a usb 3.0 and as card reader hub in the bottom one and a blueray drive in the top one, it runs a custom install of windows 10 pro that I modified using cmd and deleted all of the software that tracks everything and Microsoft edge and it runs so smoothly, I have a couple virtual machine on it, and vpn software, quite happy with my build using this case. It’s real nice.

I've been building my own PC's for over 20 years, and without fail would cut my hand on the case during the build, this one spared me the bleeding.
