Nikon Z6 Body

Quite simply, the Nikon Z6 is one of the best cameras currently on the market and you’re unlikely to be disappointed with a purchase.

Late to the party, I had plans to be here 5 years ago but for various reasons stuck with D4 and D4s Came across a Z6 for 900 dollars in mint condition so decided (actually mostly for video purposes) to do it. Also got a FTZ 1. Have had it for a few months now, for general photography I think it's pretty great. It was a bizarre miss on the vertical grip lack of dedicated contacts. That alone means I wouldn't choose it as a primary tool in my arsenal for shooting a sporting/action/other live event.

I was so hestitant upgrading from my trusty D750 even after checking out at my local BB. Light, smooth focusing, Live View is a godsend, no more AF tuning lenses. Only complaint is wished Nikon would have put shutter curtains over image sensor once camera turns off.

About 70.000 shots after I bought the camera 3 years ago, I'm still pretty satisfied with the camera for my purposes and from a amateur perspective. I use the camera mostly for family/vacation photography, still life and wedding/church events. I like the camera mostly for it's image quality, the handling and the interface, especially EVF and display. Handling/Ergonomics The camera feels good in the hand, but not as comfortable as for example a D750. Because of the smaller and less rounded ...

Richie: "That Z6, it's a good camera..." Tony: "It's ... capable." **my review ends here, the rest is color commentary** I was surprised has just how refined the Z6 feels coming from the D750. Every detail seems cleaner, finer, and more thoughtfully designed. The viewfinder is larger, clearer, and brighter. The grip is better, and ... you won't believe this ... the balance is too. It's an extremely dense camera, but it doesn't feel smaller than it should be. The lenses, like the 50/1.8S I ...
