De Panasonic DP-UB450EGK biedt uitstekende 4K HDR-beeldkwaliteit dankzij Dolby Vision en HDR10+ ondersteuning. De dubbele HDMI-uitgangen maken het eenvoudig om audio en video te scheiden, wat vooral handig is voor homecinema-opstellingen. Het apparaat ondersteunt veel bestandsformaten, waaronder hi-res audio, en is snel en eenvoudig in gebruik. Nadelen zijn het gemiddelde geluidsniveau, het ontbreken van wifi en smart apps, en een eenvoudige gebruikersinterface. Ook ontbreekt een display op het apparaat. Voor wie vooral beeldkwaliteit en compatibiliteit zoekt, is dit een sterke keuze, maar audiofielen of gebruikers die smart functies willen, kunnen beter verder kijken.

Picture quality 5/5. It upscales beautifully, even low-res DVDs look amazing. Image quality with actual blu rays is also good, as you would expect. The sound quality is the weak point. I'm going to be using it with an external DAC, so hopefully long term won't be an issue but could be a limitation for some. It's also not smart at all which is very unusual these days and could be a showstopper if you need that.
