De Sony UBP-X700 biedt uitstekende 4K-beeldkwaliteit met Dolby Vision en HDR10, en ondersteunt veel schijfformaten zoals SACD en 3D Blu-ray. Dankzij ingebouwde wifi en streaming apps is het een veelzijdige speler. Het compacte ontwerp en de snelle laadtijden zijn pluspunten. Nadelen zijn het ontbreken van HDR10+, een wat ouderwets menu en afstandsbediening, en de omslachtige Dolby Vision-instelling. Ook ondersteunt de wifi alleen 2.4GHz, wat de stabiliteit kan beperken. Over het algemeen is het een sterke keuze voor wie veel formaten en goede beeldkwaliteit zoekt, maar gebruikers moeten rekening houden met enkele gebruiksgemak- en connectiviteitsbeperkingen.

Superb product, the only problem is, Dolby vision is NOT automatic… and, Sony could unlock the region via software….(same for the dolby vision issue)

I purchased new and have played around a dozen discs so far. All of the triple-layer/100 GB 4k Blu ray discs I've played freeze about 1h45 into the movie. The player needs to be turned off to resume. This has been frustrating and unacceptable for a device that has one job to do. I only gave it 2 stars because it does technically work for lower capacity discs, just not high capacity ones. Buyer beware.

I had the previous Blu-ray Sony model (pre 4KUHD) for 10 years and did not hesitate for a second in choosing Sony again when ready to upgrade. My choice has been 100% justified. Excellent intuitive controls & set up and wonderful, wonderful picture. Quality of the highest order in every facet of this excellent player.
