An absolute necessity for the shorter days. My son works in a factory without windows and doesn't see much daylight at all. His mood was affected by this. Since buying this lamp, and using it consistently every morning, his mood has lifted and his energy levels have increased too. It has benefitted everyone in the household in the same way. The stand is great because it means that we can use the lamp while eating breakfast. I've been recommending it to all my friends. It may be pricey but it's worth it.
