Dvd Pacific Rim

"Humans build giant robots to combat aliens." That's the plot in a nutshell. Video: In 2D, this film looked amazing. It still looks amazing in 3D. 3D: This was the first BD 3D film I have seen. I just recently bought a 3D projector, and my only regret is not getting it sooner. Even from the opening logos/scenes, I could tell this was going to be a quality 3D. Not to mention the fact that 40 weeks was spent on this 3D conversion. Depth and dimensionality are fantastic, and pop-ups, for the most part, felt natural. Audio: Can I say anything that has not been said before? Nope, moving on. Extras: Fantastic amount of features can be found on the two 2D blu ray discs. Overall: A fun movie gets a near perfect BD 3D release. Buy without hesitation.

Only a few years from now, with Earth battered by an invasion of gigantic beasts through a trans-dimensional rift in the Pacific floor, the best brains on the planet have devised huge human-navigated robot sentinels to fight back. But they may not be enough...

I ordered this movie on DVD on Thursday night and it arrived in Friday, loved the movie. I don't usually watch science fiction movies, but made an exception for this movie, and I'm so pleased I did!!

Monsters v.s Robots = Awesome!!!!! Humans characters = boring Movie 6/10 Blu-ray 4/5

Could have been completely cliched, and completely wasn't – nice job! Totally awesome movie! The CGI is so brilliant you don't notice it, and I love the way the character back-stories so vividly influence the forward motion of events. The Jaegars are soooo cooool! And with such a brilliant array of acting talent, you couldn't really go wrong. Can't wait for the sequel!
