Just bought the Yongnuo YN568EX III and used it for the first time at a glamour/model shoot. I set my camera to 2.8 and tested out the high speed sync capabilities of this flash. Outside without a diffuser on TTL it was overexposed. Set the exp. compensation down and it worked great. Would definitely buy again or another if needed.

This speedlight has served me well. No complaints at all - it works well with both my D90 and D7100 bodies. Mel - I did an accidental drop test last evening (3.5 feet on to concrete), just prior to shooting wedding engagement photographs for my son and his now fiancee...the flash survived amazingly well.

This speedlight replaced my trusty YN568EX II (which was heavily used and gradually developed a loose-ish connection between the hot shoe screw and unit itself); the old unit still works, but would have a limited lifetime with continued heavy use -- it is now my backup unit. The YN568EX III is essentially the same as the 568EX II but with a few nice upgrades in the display (remaining battery life) and a USB port for upgrading firmware. My sense is that it recharges a little faster than the 568EX II, but that's just my impression...not sure if the stats really bear that out or not. The 568EX III is plastic, but expected to survive 2+ years of use -- just like the 568EX II before it. No compatibility probs with sync cord or Yongnuo radio flash triggers (on my Canon 7Dii). My single complaint is that the USB port is an old-style mini-B USB port (not micro-USB)...I had thrown all such old USB cords away and had to buy a new one ($4.99 on Amazon). Barrymck

This is an awesome flash at a great price! On camera, off camera, optical master, optical slave, it does it all! The "In the Box" section only mentions the flash and stand, but a nylon sleeve/bag is also included.

This is the best speedlight for its price. It is TTL and able to support high speed sync (HSS). The only thing I don't like about this is its battery door which looks brittle and may easily break when accidentally dropped.
