I was a big fan of the Sudden Strike games years ago. When I saw this game on NewEgg for $9.99 I knew I had to have it. If you are a fan of classic RTS games but you get bored of resource management you should give this game a try. Instead of building an economy, researching tech, building units, etc. you simply order reinforcements based on unit type. You only get so many so don't squander your units. Sometimes completing certain game conditions will reward you with more units. You focus on the battle, not on resources. Great game. Give it a try.

Well having played Sudden Strike for a few years, Blitzkrieg 2 is yet another wannabe SS2 in 3D. It is quite a good experience for a few hours and then the big flaws start to appear. First, the scale is all wrong, but it doesn't stop from enjoying what is after all just a game. Just don't expect anything to do with realism on the level of SS2. The multiplayer is a huge disappointment due to quite a few unbearable bugs that crash the game on a regular basis once things get going and you are really getting into it. The interface is quite irratating too. If you're going to copy Sudden Strike, might as well do it properly. Nival needs someone who knows how to design a proper interface and test the game before release. It seems this was rushed to beat the release of SS3. And last, Nival.net is a disaster. They should have used Gamespy. I give it a 12/20.
