Street Fighter 5 Arcade Edition voor PS4 wordt geprezen om zijn uitgebreide content, waaronder een volwaardige Arcade Mode, een groot aantal speelbare personages en veel single- en multiplayer-modi. De besturing is zeer responsief en de gameplay is diepgaand, wat het aantrekkelijk maakt voor zowel casual als competitieve spelers. De trainingsmodus is sterk verbeterd, vooral voor wie technisch wil trainen. Wel zijn niet alle extra personages fysiek aanwezig; je moet ze downloaden. Ook vinden veel spelers het jammer dat deze complete ervaring pas jaren na de originele release beschikbaar kwam. De soundtrack wordt als matig ervaren en toekomstige DLC vereist nog steeds extra aankopen. Voor fans van vechtspellen is dit echter een van de meest complete en toegankelijke Street Fighter-ervaringen tot nu toe.
