Ashes Cricket 2009 (Xbox 360)

Graphics are rubbish I would defiantly not recommend it to anyone and it is also very old so do not buy it it is a waste of money

the problem with previous cricket games have been thtat either the game lasted to long as there was no 20 20 format and the ball would go for a boundry every ball

Well the proble with ea sports cricket 05 07 was that on 05 the only way you could pick up wickets was with a leggy and on 07 and brian lara you got a wicket every ball if you put it in the right place. but with all the games bl2007 included with batting every ball could go for 4 and it was a really boring game. the reviews for the game say it is good but i would not preorder just icase it is like the others. Wait for others to review it first, hope i have been helpful.

Well the demo came out yesterday for those who didn't know. The game is good, feels more real than previous cricket games, the downside to the demo is that you oly get 3 overs for batting and another 3 for bowling. From what I've seen though it looks good, the timing meter is good and the computer A.I. seems alot better (fielding, bolwing etc). What impressed me is the feature of ball wear and tear, which means you can't use reverse swing untill the ball has been worn down and the pitches play a big part too. The batting is good, you have confidence meters etc that all help the batsmen and you have the same meters for bowling too. I reckon the percentage of cricket fans will be happy with this but I do think codemasters should of included more in the demo, theres not really much you can say about a 3 over test match. Hope this helps :)

I have only played the demo and watched a video on this game and I already have 7th of August marked on my calender. I think that the graphics on this game are absolutely top class. If you look at players like Ricky Ponting and Ravi Bopara on the T.V. screen and then on this game you will not be able to tell the difference! I love the realisticness of this game and the way things happen like the ashes in general, for example the confidence levels of players say if Mitchell Johnson got hit for 20 in one over by Kevin Pieterson then KP's confidence will rise and Johnson's will fall. The one problem I think that might occur is if you are playing in a Twenty20 format it might be if England were batting in a 6 over power play and their confidence is low it will not work out. In my opinion this will be the best cricket game since the start of all cricketing video games.
