This War of Mine: The Little Ones biedt een unieke, indringende ervaring door oorlog te laten zien vanuit het oogpunt van burgers, met veel aandacht voor morele keuzes en emotionele gevolgen. Het spel is mooi vormgegeven en zeer herspeelbaar, maar kan door de hoge moeilijkheidsgraad en schaarste frustrerend zijn. De toevoeging van kinderen maakt het extra aangrijpend, maar ook uitdagender. Het is geen spel voor iedereen: wie van snelle actie of een luchtige sfeer houdt, zal hier niet aan zijn trekken komen. Wel een aanrader voor wie op zoek is naar een diepgaande, realistische survival-ervaring met impact.

The Headline of my review says it all. Looks good, plays awful. I thought the days of having to spend ages teasing the controller just to get your chosen character to walk down some stairs were over. I was wrong. Aside from infuriating controls the onscreen text is minute, even when sat only 2 metres away from my 46" TV. And to top it all off the actual scavenging, eking out supplies and so on, gets dull fast. This game has won awards so I know my review will be unpopular. But if they had only took the same aesthetic and built gameplay akin to something like the classic "Flashback" rather than this fiddly chore, it could have been a winner. Summary - tedious and irritating

This game quickly draws you into its storyline and sketch style graphics. Very addictive game to play always something new to figure out I've been playing this two days straight so far and I'm nowhere near close to finishing or not finding something new or getting better. The story line can be depressing but def a reminder of some lives and struggles.
