Dead Space voor PC biedt een intense en visueel indrukwekkende horrorervaring, met sterke graphics en geluid die de sfeer versterken. De vernieuwde besturing en extra toegankelijkheidsopties maken het spel geschikt voor een breed publiek. Wel vraagt het spel om een krachtige computer en kunnen missies soms herhalend zijn. I couldn't remap the movement keys to arrow-keys. Arrow-keys are set in stone for other actions. Refunded. I won't buy a game I can't play. Visually stunning though!

athmosphere, gameplay. lore story and the nostalgia of playing OG dead space is what makes this a masterpiece.

Tried to play the remake, but the original is so much better. You might compare it to the artistry, sound design and pure atmosphere of the 1st Alien to any of the newer, more polished ones. The level design is excellent and the graphics are still phenomenal - no texmods needed. I started to play Dead Space 2 a month ago, put it aside and thought: "Wow, how good looks this? Let´s try it out on the original then": 1) there´s no way around "mouse-fix" if you play kbm 2) if green hell, you can activate Ambient Occlusion (quality) 3) AA set to 16xs/8xss/mfaa/transparency enabled - override everything 4) with in-game brightness to the lowest, render in 5k (--1440p) - no re-shades needed Enjoy!

This game is everything the remake tried to be and wasn't. The sound occludes the way it should on a planetary cracking ship, not a haunted house. Sound travels through the superstructure, bleeds under doors, echoes off metal. I've been playing this since 2013 and haven't dropped it. Because the game that holds up on its own terms, tight corridors, movement has weight, necromorphs that punish sloppy play. Hell, running on modern hardware/software? Drop DXVK in the root folder. The issues melt away. This game aged like fine wine.
