Anthem op Xbox One valt vooral op door zijn unieke vliegmechanica en soepele beweging, wat het spel echt onderscheidt van andere shooters. Samen spelen met vrienden is leuk en de javelin-exosuits bieden veel variatie. De wereld ziet er prachtig uit, maar het verhaal en de missies zijn zwak en repetitief. Technische problemen en bugs komen regelmatig voor, en de AI van vijanden is vaak teleurstellend. Online ervaringen kunnen wisselend zijn. Voor wie vooral op zoek is naar actie en co-op plezier, is Anthem een overweging waard, maar verwacht geen diepgaand verhaal of veel uitdaging op de lange termijn.

Game needs more content, something to give it an edge. Find a theme and blow it up but there’s nothing that stops the game from becoming repetitive regardless of the amazing sights.
