Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition

There is a lot of confusion as to what this version is. Originally Lost Planet Extreme Condition came to Xbox 360. When brought to PS3 they added like two new multiplayer maps and the Mega Man outfit. This not only has those updates, but also includes a few more maps and cross play with PC. I have all three versions for a dumb reason, but I absolutely love the Lost Planet games. Basically this version has a whole new set of achievements. So why not own both? That is my thought process. Even back when this game came out my first thought though was the graphics were not that great. However that did not bother me when I started playing the game. Not the greatest story, but I loved the overall gameplay.

In all honesty, this has got to be one of the worst games I have played in some time. At its' best, the game can be fun for a few minutes when your blasting the Akrid to pieces but at its' worst, this game is clumsy, glitchy, slow and your character always feels encumbered while moving. I got this game because I was interested in completing the lost planet trilogy but boy did I waste 8 hours of my life beating this game! I think the only plausible excuse for this game would be that it is so dated; even still, there are games that came out around this time with much better mechanics and graphics. Oh, and for those achievement hunters out there; DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME, IT WILL ONLY NET YOU 5 gamerscore for beating the game. Would not recommend to anyone!

Really good game it was one of the first games for the xbox 360. The graphics are ok in general but some parts it looks amazing. Controls are ok the camera can be a bit tricky since its 3rd person haven't played much single so I can't comment on the story but the action is good. The online is barely there I could never find anyone on ranked only on player matches if your lucky at least. I was able to find matches but if you see there is none its probably because they are already playing so if you really want to play the online just keep trying you'll eventually find the 1 match that is there to play frequently. To be honest I played Lost planet when the online demo was out and it was fun but the matches I played online when I bought it recently are rockets which are fun but can get boring after too much. At least sometime they make it akrid hunter NOW THAT is fun!!.
