The Secret World - Windows

I've been looking for a horror based MMORPG for years, glad I found this!

Bought this a couple of years ago. Possibly the most immersive MMO ever created to date. Unmatched atmosphere, narrative, character development.

Best MMO I've ever played. At first I thought the game was bad. That was first few hours. But as I played I realized this game is extremely deep. It's hard to express how good the immersion becomes. Highly recommended, but be sure to get the Ultimate Edition or whichever edition ties in as many DLC's as possible.

This game had me so excited. The concept of secret societies and heavy Lovecraft influence sounded spectacular. Unfortunately, this game is nearly impossible to play, having horrible combat and confusing, overbearing interface. The story was good, but had far too much grinding just to get to an interesting cut scene. The game has been out four years now and is still littered with bugs. EA hasn't patched or updated anything leaving you with what feels like a beta rather than a finished product. In conclusion; save your hard earned money for a game that's actually fun.

Game started strong then petered out. They had 3 changes in creative direction over the development that left a mark and made it impossible for it to find it's footing. Stil worth a try if you have high end PC. SSD, 16-32 gig of memory and a 4gig or better graphics card are a must. They never bothered to implement texture compression so speedy IO is a must.
