Godfall valt op door zijn prachtige graphics en vloeiende melee-gevechten, vooral op de PS5 met goede haptische feedback. Er zijn veel wapens en uitrusting te verzamelen, wat het looten leuk maakt. Toch is de missiestructuur erg repetitief en het verhaal stelt teleur. Ook ontbreekt matchmaking voor co-op, waardoor je alleen met vrienden kunt spelen. De progressie voelt oppervlakkig, waardoor het spel snel eentonig kan worden. Voor wie vooral van actie en visuele pracht houdt, is Godfall aantrekkelijk, maar verwacht weinig diepgang of variatie.

Godfall is a godlike load of fun to play. I am a firm believer in giving games a second chance and this one is no exception. Gameplay is smooth and uncomplicated, as is really the rest of it, making it easier to get into, and it’s oh-so-satisfying. — Cassie Peterson

I felt like this game was kind of like a PS5 launch title. Felt too rushed and too much going on in the game for me to get use to it and enjoy it. Played it a couple of times then traded it in.
