Finally a properly working version for Windows 10 and 11, as the one on Steam doesn't properly run without mods and/or other tweakings. The game itself was an old favorite from my childhood and it's still quite nice and refreshing to play

Technical: Reports all over the web say the retail version is basically unplayable on modern systems, yet I completed this version with exactly one crash and no other issues. This product is an example of GOG at its finest. Gameplay: The game strikes a nice balance of encouraging stealth without requiring it. (The lower your body count, the more Merry Men will flock to Sherwood. But you're unlikely to run out of Merry Men, so it's not worth sweating.) I probably focused too much on stealth in my play, which not only renders Robin somewhat impotent (his greatest asset is his deadly bow) but makes some of the later missions either frustrating or just plain tedious. (The last few mission require knocking out, binding, and hiding nearly the entire village if you're going for stealth.) You might have more fun than I did if you're less focused on stealthy solutions to the later missions.
