Battalion Wars 2 biedt een leuke mix van actie en strategie, vooral dankzij de uitgebreide online multiplayer en de variatie aan eenheden. De singleplayer is toegankelijk en snel uit te spelen, maar mist diepgang voor ervaren strategen. De besturing werkt goed bij kleine gevechten, maar wordt chaotisch als er veel eenheden zijn. Het ontbreken van lokale multiplayer en het soms onsamenhangende verhaal zijn duidelijke minpunten. Voor liefhebbers van snelle actie met lichte strategie is dit een vermakelijke keuze, maar verwacht geen diepgaande tactische ervaring.

I was a bit skeptical when considering purchasing this title. I'm glad I bit the bullet! Nintendo delivers in an over the shoulder style run and gun that shouldn't be missed. Excellent graphics, awesome soundtrack, interesting story, with tight controls. I haven't had time to dig too deep into the game but what little bit I have played has been a blast. Sidenote: since Nintendo killed off all online support for the Wii, any online features in any Wii game, including this one, are dead. But there is enough offline stuff to help hold up game play value.

Though a little outdated, this is still an awesome game. I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign to the point that I made 3 save files for replaying and achieved top scores on all missions for one save file. Considering that, I guess this is a bit too easy for me nowadays, though back then it was certainly a fun challenge. The soundtracks are also pretty good if I do say so myself. Would definitely recommend.

For any of you out there who are looking for this, this is the perfect strategy game. Let me say, this game made me plug my old wii back in just for another round of this game. It couldn't be better. The wii has its mediocre graphics, but who cares, this game blew me away.
