Battle Chasers: Nightwar op de Switch biedt een opvallende visuele stijl en een diepgaand turn-based gevechtssysteem dat veel strategische mogelijkheden biedt. De verschillende helden en hun unieke vaardigheden zorgen voor afwisselende teamcombinaties. De handheld-modus maakt het makkelijk om het spel in korte sessies te spelen. Wel zijn er regelmatig prestatieproblemen zoals vertragingen en soms crashes, vooral bij veel objecten op het scherm. Spelers moeten veel grinden en dungeons herhalen om te levelen, wat als repetitief kan aanvoelen. Ook zijn er plotselinge moeilijkheidspieken en ontbreekt touchscreen-functionaliteit. Voor liefhebbers van klassieke RPG’s is het een aanrader, mits je de technische beperkingen en het grind accepteert.

It's nice to see what Joe Mad quit comics for wasn't a complete piece of trash. Which in turn was a game based on his original IP, which is making a comeback in the not to distance future

Turn base fighting style, nothing new there but the game mechanics is a different feel that makes the level grinding enjoyable. Some puzzles are tougher and the final boss is near impossible.
