Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock Travelers is een toegankelijke JRPG die vooral geschikt is voor jongere of onervaren spelers. De kleurrijke personages en eenvoudige gevechtssystemen maken het spel makkelijk te begrijpen en leuk om te spelen. De soundtrack wordt vaak geprezen, maar de grafische kwaliteit laat te wensen over en het ontbreken van voice-acting haalt wat sfeer weg. Het verhaal en de wereld zijn vrij simpel, waardoor ervaren spelers het misschien wat saai vinden. De camera en animaties kunnen soms storend zijn, maar voor wie een laagdrempelige instap in het genre zoekt, is dit een prima keuze.

Fun, Charming and quirky. On the short end. Roughly 13-16 hours long. However, I'm really glad to have picked it up. At the start it felt like it was doing a bit of a homage to Earthbound, but it quickly came into it's own. Definitely a game to play with your kids before putting them to bed.

Cubed3 Rating Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock Travelers is a child-friendly, happy-go-lucky, time-travelling adventure that's enjoyable... for about an hour or so. Simply put, there are far better JRPGs out there - many of them equally carefree and friendly towards young gamers and newbies, and even more so.

On paper, [Destiny Connect] looks like exactly the kind of short and sweet beginner RPG to get your kids started on, yet it totally misses the mark with how uninspired and boring it is.
