Toki Tori 2+ is een unieke puzzelgame waarin je met slechts twee acties verrassend complexe uitdagingen aangaat. De kleurrijke wereld en het charmante ontwerp maken het aantrekkelijk, vooral op de Switch waar het soepel draait. Het spel biedt echter weinig uitleg, waardoor je soms lang vastzit of moet teruglopen. Puzzels zijn vaak slim, maar kunnen ook frustrerend vaag zijn. Voor liefhebbers van uitdagende puzzels is dit een aanrader, maar wie snel vastloopt of duidelijke aanwijzingen wil, kan beter verder kijken.

If there’s a better puzzle-platformer than Toki Tori 2+ released on the PC this year, someone please construct an elaborate series of events to lure it into a pipe leading directly to my house. Thanks.

If you’re a fan of side-scrolling puzzle games, Toki Tori 2+ is the game for you. Created by Two Tribes, the childlike demeanor/characters and soft background music, paired with the game’s increasing difficulty level will entice most players with a knack for puzzles, and casual gamers who simply want something to do. Paired with a level creator/editor, a tokidex to complete, songs to learn, and windmills (because what’s a Dutch game without windmills?) Toki Tori 2+ has a little bit of everything. While the price (originally $15, now reduced to $10) is a LITTLE steep, it’s still worth every cent.
