De Devil May Cry HD Collection biedt drie klassieke actiegames in één pakket, nu in hogere resolutie en met een vloeiende framerate. Vooral deel 1 en 3 vallen op door hun uitdagende gevechten en stijl, terwijl deel 2 achterblijft. De camera en besturing voelen echter gedateerd en kunnen frustrerend zijn. Grafisch is de upgrade beperkt: textures zijn nog steeds oud en menu’s zijn niet aangepast aan HD. Er zijn geen nieuwe functies of inhoud toegevoegd ten opzichte van de eerdere HD-versie. Deze collectie is vooral een aanrader voor fans van het genre of wie de originals gemist heeft, maar verwacht geen moderne ervaring.

I played DMC5 Special Edition on PS5 the other day for free cause I have PS Plus Premium. Got hooked. I'm 42 and I am glad bad graphics are stuck in the past. But if you can get passed these, not too bad graphics, just for the story and to appreciate the series even more, DO IT!!

Listen if you can get passed the older style graphics and enjoy it for the story so you can appreciate DMC5 even more. DO IT! I hate crap graphics but if I can do it. So can you and I am 42. Hey! I Sim Race too but I enjoy gaming just as much as anyone. Hey, Maybe they will completely redo the entire series and drop DMC6.....til then I am going to see how it is on my pc.
