Sonic & All-Stars Racing op de Xbox 360 biedt een grote selectie SEGA-personages, levendige graphics en snelle, toegankelijke gameplay. De kleurrijke tracks en creatieve ontwerpen zorgen voor veel plezier, vooral met vrienden dankzij de uitgebreide multiplayer-mogelijkheden. Wel zijn er nadelen: de framerate is niet altijd stabiel, wapens zijn weinig origineel en sommige content moet je vrijspelen. Ook ontbreekt een online ranking- of toernooimodus. Voor fans van kart-racers en SEGA is het een aanrader, maar verwacht geen volledige vernieuwing binnen het genre.

Overall, Sonic & SEGA All Stars racing is one hell of a game. As far as I’m concerned, it is the head honcho of its completion group. That means you Mario. The graphics, for what this game is, gameplay, and overall presentation are spectacular. This game is what people want: a kart racer that feels familiar but is presented in 2010 gaming standards.

A lot better than some people would give it credit for and a pleasant change from all the driving simulations out there at the moment. The fun may well be too short lived for most though, with only the most dedicated achievement hunters putting in the required time to unlock everything . While it lasts though, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing can be a barrel of laughs – it's just not quite Mario Kart... damn.
