Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD biedt meer dan 100 kleurrijke levels en een aantal leuke minigames, vooral geschikt voor multiplayer met vrienden. De besturing is verbeterd ten opzichte van het origineel, maar het leveldesign is vaak simpel en de uitdaging ontbreekt soms. Bossfights worden vaak als frustrerend ervaren en de singleplayer heeft weinig herspeelbaarheid. Ook zijn er minder minigames dan in eerdere delen, wat voor fans een minpunt kan zijn. Voor wie op zoek is naar een luchtig partyspel is dit een prima keuze, maar verwacht geen diepe of vernieuwende ervaring.

Great game! Plays just like the old GameCube ones but with an added jump button. Mini games are a blast and the story mode was a fun challenge.

A welcome revival of a much-loved franchise, although Banana Blitz was never the best entry and Sega has had to accept too many compromises in porting it from the Wii.
