Yakuza 6: The Song of Life biedt een krachtig en emotioneel verhaal met een sterke focus op Kiryu. De nieuwe engine zorgt voor indrukwekkende graphics en animaties, waardoor de wereld levendiger aanvoelt dan ooit. De game is compacter dan eerdere delen, met minder zijmissies en een kortere speelduur, wat sommige fans kan teleurstellen. De langzame start en vele cutscenes vragen geduld, maar het verhaal en de personages maken dit ruimschoots goed. De gevechten zijn vloeiender, maar missen soms variatie. Voor liefhebbers van het genre en het personage Kiryu is dit een waardig slotstuk, al zijn er duidelijke concessies gedaan in omvang en variatie.

Game came with glue all over it and a ripped cover and case. There is no quality assurance when you buy a used game from Gamestop. They won't take your used game in that condition but sell games like this all the time. A double standard. Do not buy used games from Gamestop online!

The attention to detail in the last instalment of The dragon of dojima is stunning. While it may at first seem like perhaps subdued compared to the other entry’s it’s story telling and locations are both at the top of the list. The locations while being modest in terms of exploration are more than enough to revisit long after finishing the main story. Having been to kabukicho multiple times and many small towns around japan it’s a no brainer to say that this is virtual tourism at its finest, right down to the random npcs (excluding the large amounts of people looking to knock you out) A must have if you’re both a fan of beat em ups, great drama, good music, food, drink and everything japanese. Play the other instalments first to get the full effect. 0 is a perfect starting point for everyone

I have to say first that dialogue is only in Japanese with occassional Chinese. You will be reading lots of english subtitles. This is my only complaint. But its not necessarilly a bad thing. The voice acting is good. This game reminds me a lot of Shenmue which I loved! Actually this game could be a new story in the Shenmue universe. It is story driven. Lots of twists. At times the gang fights do feel repetitive but the way the fights are integrated with the story it keeps it fresh at times. The mini games are cool very much like Shenmue. Ive put in about 20 hrs and currently on Chapter 11. I recommend this game!
