Alpha Protocol is een unieke spionage-RPG waarin je als speler veel invloed hebt op het verhaal door je keuzes en dialogen. Het spel wordt geprezen om zijn diepgaande dialoogsysteem en de mogelijkheid om het verhaal op verschillende manieren te beleven. De personages en de politieke intrige zorgen voor een boeiende ervaring. Tegelijkertijd zijn er veel klachten over de verouderde graphics, onhandige besturing en technische problemen zoals bugs en lange laadtijden. Ook de AI en de geforceerde baasgevechten worden vaak als minpunten genoemd. Voor liefhebbers van verhalende RPG’s met veel keuzemogelijkheden is dit spel interessant, maar je moet bereid zijn om technische tekortkomingen te accepteren.

Sure it borrows a few things from the 1st Mass Effect,however they made it thier own. I'm not a fan of the timed response mechanic,I know where they were going with that to make it authentic but I can do without it. The graphics are lacking a little like it was made for ps2 but it was ported to the ps3 for example. I like the story and making allies or foes is a GOOD feature. You can play this over and over again. NEVER PLAY THE SAME GAME TWICE.

Well, I had heard this game was bad, but I wanted to try it myself. Yep, it's a clunky, poorly put together mess. Oh well. Two stars for potential, but a complete failure of execution.
