Trials Rising Gold Edition biedt een uitdagende en verslavende ervaring met veel tracks, unieke locaties en uitgebreide multiplayer-opties. De Expansion Pass voegt flink wat extra content toe. Wel zijn er duidelijke minpunten: de game heeft last van framerate-dalingen en lange laadtijden, en de progressie kan repetitief en frustrerend zijn. Ook zijn er veel lootboxes en microtransacties, terwijl de cosmetische beloningen vaak tegenvallen. Voor liefhebbers van uitdagende races en veel content is dit een sterke keuze, maar houd rekening met technische en structurele nadelen.

I love the game! But the description fails to mention that the expansion pass is a code on a package insert that expired back in 2021. I had to buy it separately on the Playstation store.

Highly entertaining. I'm so glad they brought anew game out. Although don't try the track called wipeout in track central.. you'll be there forever.

Review: Trials Rising – Het is alweer bijna vijf jaar geleden dat het laatste volwaardige deel in de Trials-serie verscheen. Trials Fusion was een prima game, maar werd toch als minder goed beschouwd ten opzichte van zijn voorganger, Trials Evolution. In 2016 maakte ontwikkelaar RedLynx nog wel een uitstapje met Trials of the Blood Dragon, maar deze spin-off werd niet goed ontvangen. Het was voor RedLynx dus hoog tijd voor weer een geheel nieuw deel, dat weer teruggaat naar de kern van de serie en het oude niveau weer weet te bereiken. Het resultaat is Trials Rising, een game die deze missie perfect uitvoert.
