PS5 Balan Wonderworld

From the same person that brought nights into dreams creates a game that has the same magic as that. Despite what many naysayers say, this game is fun and has a wonderful message of positivity. Like nights, this game has the charm of games of yesteryear and those willing to look past some minor flaws will find a wonderful experience. Not everything needs to have a social message to be meaningful.

I originally bought this for myself, but my 16yo daughter fell in love with it.

Wat ongelofelijk zonde. Balan Wonderworld wist op veel vlakken bij ons precies de juiste snaar te raken, maar op minstens net zo veel vlakken slaat de game met een sloophamer dwars door het instrument heen. Het verhaal zette ons zo nu en dan zelfs aan het denken, reflecterend op onze eigen jeugd. Dat gecombineerd met de schitterende muziek wist Balan Wonderworld hier en daar best een emotionele snaar te raken bij ons. Maar de gameplay en de ondermaatse graphics hebben een hoop voor ons verpest. De game speelt zo ontzettend stroef dat we niet snel terug zullen keren naar Wonderworld. De toevoeging van coöp is een slimme keuze geweest, want wij denken dat menig gamend ouder hier best wel wat plezier uit kan halen samen met hun kleine. Maar wij zouden zelf dan wel even wachten op een aanbieding.
