18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Trucker is populair vanwege de lage systeemeisen en de unieke extreme routes die je rijdt. De gameplay is eenvoudig en toegankelijk, wat het geschikt maakt voor beginners. This crashes a lot, even with the fix I downloaded from GitHub for Windows 10/11. The game is good, but the crashes ruined the experience for me.

The game is interesting with the different types of countries to drive. The game environment is on a level of Euro Truck Simulator 1. Main problem with the game and reason for one minus star is the technical issue with the GOG setup. For unknown reasons the default setup in GOG Galaxy fails with a crash. Solution is to configure an additional game shortcut in Galaxy where you can control EXE and Windows compatibility.

The worlds are pretty cool at first, but there is some weird time scaling (especially on the Australia map), and for it being EXXXXXTREME, it is far too easy.

Extreme Trucker 2 has the same 3 Areas as this one, but has 2 more Areas. 2 is pretty much the same game as this one, but with 2 more worlds.
