G1 Jockey Wii 2008

Bought this game for my husband who is a horse racing fanatic and never misses the Channel 4 Racing. He has not stopped playing yet and I have no idea how to get him off the horse tonight. He really seems to enjoy this game. Had a few problems with mastering the controls and understanding everything but now loves it. The graphics are excellent and I can recommend the game for horse racing fanatics like my husband. He loves being the jockey instead of being the punter for a change and is now breeding horses and training them (on the Wii only. Unfortunately you can't win any money when you are winning a race). Great game!

I was waiting for this game to come out since i saw it being advertised and i have to admit not everyone would find it their cup of tea, I myself am not really into horse racing apart from the grand national buy i still do think this game is worthy of being in my collection. If your wanting some good clean fun with your mates then G1 Jockey should be considered! Myself and my mates had a good laugh playing against eachother and i can play it for hours by myself, the only bit i think is a minus in my book is not being able to add my Mii character at all because personally i think having a baby face looking character on a game with this style of graphics would just look stupid, My minus is the training of your horse which i am finding a bit difficult to do at the moment and also i cannot see where the game is meant to end yet- but overall a good game and at least worth a try!

i did not like this game at all and i found it very boring and old fashioned. The fact that it does not let you use your own Mii as a jockey is a missed opportunity which would of made it stand out from this titles release on other consoles.

I am a computer games novice but a great horse racing fan and this game has me hooked. It takes a while to master the controls but once you are there it is addictive. Knowing a lot about racing has helped and I think if you are coming to this as a complete novice on the ways of racing it might seem rather complicated. You begin as a raw apprentice jockey straight out of the racing school and then work your way up. The trick is riding each horse to its individual strengths to get the best out of it and for me the game is a definite winner.

Wow! This game has everything - superb graphics, breathtaking realism and a real feeling that your the jockey. It's not easy at the start, getting your bearings with the controls but once you get familar, nothing is more addictive! Two player mode is edge-of-your-seat-fun, whether your jumping or flat racing. I would recommend this for anyone, whether they are addicted horse lovers (like me) or just want a great game that's always fun at parties! I am a very critical 11 year old but found nothing to criticise on this game. Buy it folks!
