De Blob op de Wii wordt geprezen om zijn unieke, kleurrijke gameplay en vrolijke sfeer. Spelers vinden het erg leuk om de stad tot leven te brengen door alles in te kleuren, ondersteund door een dynamische soundtrack en aantrekkelijke graphics. De besturing is eenvoudig, waardoor het spel geschikt is voor jong en oud. De multiplayer-modus voegt extra speelplezier toe, al kan de framerate dalen bij meerdere spelers. Nadelen zijn dat het springen soms onnauwkeurig aanvoelt en de missiestructuur na verloop van tijd wat eentonig kan worden. Over het algemeen is De Blob een originele en plezierige platformer, maar niet zonder kleine technische minpunten.

We have two Wiis and over a hundred games, and this is the only one that does not work properly on either unit. Two different copies of the game, and we still can't play it. Neither disc can be read by the Wii console. They just produce errors after loading and being forced to watch the 'story'. This seems to be a known problem with this game.

Finally broke down and purchased a Wii, quite a few years after it was the hot new game system in town. I started out playing Wii Sports & Sports Resort, and enjoyed the activity...at 47, I need all the moving around I can get! But I wanted something a little bit different, so after researching games offered on the Amazon website, I decided to leap in and try De Blob. I am so glad I did! I just spent the last two hours glued to my couch (I know, I know, don't say it!), figuring my way through the first levels of De Blob. The graphics are awesome, the concept wonderful; lo and behold, I, a 4-thumbed mom who barely played Pong, and have never been able to play a video game and actually enjoy it because of a lack of coordination and difficulty with old-school controllers, played decently and had a blast! A great game, fun for just about any age, I highly recommend! De Blob
