Trials Rising delivers the series' signature addictive physics-based motorcycle racing across over 100 creatively designed tracks spanning iconic global locations. The gameplay remains phenomenally fun with tight controls and satisfying challenge, while a new tutorial system finally teaches players the advanced techniques needed for harder levels. However, the Gold Edition on PS4 suffers from notable performance issues including frequent stuttering even on Pro hardware and frustratingly long load times. The progression system shifts focus from skill improvement to grinding XP through sponsor contracts, which many find tedious. Ubisoft's monetization approach with loot boxes, multiple currencies, and premium Acorns for cosmetics feels excessive for a full-priced game. While the core racing experience and track variety shine, technical shortcomings and progression design choices may frustrate players expecting a polished, focused experience.
