De Razer Kraken V3 X is een lichte en comfortabele gaming-headset met een goede microfoon en stijlvolle RGB-verlichting. Het geluid is prima voor de prijs, maar je kunt het niet zelf finetunen via de software. Alleen USB-A betekent dat je hem niet zomaar op je telefoon of console-controller aansluit. De microfoon en kabel zijn vast, dus bij schade moet je het hele apparaat vervangen. De 7.1 surround sound werkt alleen op Windows 10 64-bit. Voor casual gamers die vooral op PC spelen en niet te veel willen betalen, is dit een degelijke keuze, maar voor meer geluidscontrole of gebruik op meerdere apparaten zijn er betere opties.

Razer claims that its headphones have 7.1 surround sound. It's true, on one condition: pay an extra 25€ on the app, and use the headphones while logged into your upgraded Razer account (data tracking hello!). This information is nowhere to be found on the product sheet, so it's a big fat lie. Even though I don't really care about the 7.1, these marketing methods are despicable. I'm reluctant to return these headphones.

Soft earcups allow for extended wear. The battery life is excellent as I wear out before it even hits 80%. The mic sounds very clear and no distortion especially from breathing. The mic also retracts into the headset! All the controls are intuitive and very quick to get used to. Sound quality is theater-like. Good bass, mid and high ranges are crisp and clear. No feedback or hissing.

I bought this to replace my old Razer wired headset and was not disappointed. Comfortable, supported by by Windows and MacOS. Works great for working-from-home and gaming!

Purchased this headset to replace a Steelseries headset for PC gaming and voice chat use. The sound from the headset is pretty good. However, if you intend to use the built-in microphone you're going to be very disappointed. Everyone I spoke with said it sounded like "I was speaking through a tin can", even after trying different settings in the Razer software. If you're going to use this for voice chat, I recommend another headset. If you just want decent sound, there's probably better headsets available for the price point.
