Creed Love in Black is een uitgesproken viooltjes- en irisparfum met een donkere, bijna gotische uitstraling. Veel kenners prijzen de unieke combinatie van viooltjes, iris, zwarte bes, ceder en musk, die na een wat scherpe of zelfs vreemde opening verandert in een fluweelzachte, poederige en sensuele geur. De geur ontwikkelt sterk op de huid en wordt vaak omschreven als volwassen, elegant en licht uniseks in de drydown. Tegelijk is dit een echte liefhebbersgeur: de eerste fase wordt regelmatig als chemisch, hard of onaangenaam ervaren en de zoete, poederige basis kan voor sommigen te zwaar zijn. I have used this perfume for the last 13 years and the first couple of bottles that I had lasted for 3 times longer than the last 2 bottles that I have had. I have not changed my application method in this time but I have noticed that bottles that have not lasted no longer have a clear bottom which adds to my suspicions that the bottles are no longer full when sold. It's completely put me off buying this again which is sad because I love the smell of it.
