Oscar de la Renta Bella Essence is een zoete, bloemige geur met duidelijke tonen van roos, jasmijn en vanille, ondersteund door muskus en ambroxan. Veel reviewers omschrijven de geur als zacht, vrouwelijk en elegant, en meerdere bronnen melden een goede tot zeer goede houdbaarheid van rond de zes tot acht uur, zeker bij royaal sprayen of op kleding. Tegelijkertijd is er verdeeldheid: een deel van de gebruikers ervaart de geur juist als erg licht of bijna onmerkbaar, wat wijst op grote verschillen per huidtype. De opening met grapefruit en rode bessen wordt door sommigen fris gevonden, maar anderen vinden haar te zuur of chemisch. The bottle is gorgeous! Frosty back with lovely gold flowers in the front. The scent didn’t smell the way I expected with my body chemistry. It wasn’t awful. It was sweet & baby powder like on me. But, that doesn’t mean it won’t smell decadent on you. When trying new fragrances I always wear for at least an entire day. This scent is one where you will have to reapply.

I read the description of this and what the fragrance notes were supposed to be and was very excited to try this. I expected raspberry and sweet warm notes. However, on me, the only thing I smell is citrus and grapefruit. I tried it on my sister- who also only smelled citrus. While not a bad scent, it wasn’t what I expected. But the bad thing is that it doesn’t last more than 10 minutes. Not even a hint that any perfume was sprayed.

By the description of this, I believed I would LOVE it! If I could give a negative review, I definitely would! This is so strong and smells like SOURED ROSES! Not something I would EVER wear and really sorry I even sprayed a little. It totally overpowered the room with this stink! I like a softer musk scent, vanilla, woodsy, feminine and this screams NOT that!
