Yves Saint Laurent Y Eau de Toilette is een typische frisse blauwe herengeur met een schone, moderne uitstraling. De combinatie van citrus, aromatische noten zoals salie en lavendel en houtige basisnoten maakt hem erg veelzijdig: veel gebruikers dragen hem naar kantoor, school of een avondje uit zonder problemen. De geur wordt vaak omschreven als veilig en makkelijk te dragen, waardoor hij geschikt is als ‘één fles voor elke gelegenheid’. Tegelijkertijd vinden kenners hem minder origineel, omdat hij sterk in de lijn ligt van andere populaire blauwe designergeuren. De opening kan wat luid en synthetisch aanvoelen, vooral voor mensen die gevoelig zijn voor frisse aromachemicals, al wordt hij na verloop van tijd zachter en ronder. De prestaties zijn over het algemeen goed genoeg voor een werkdag, maar niet extreem; wie op zoek is naar maximale kracht en sillage zal eerder naar zwaardere alternatieven grijpen.

I wrote a review for Prada L'Homme, where the scent was given the title "Fresh Shirts." In my opinion, this fragrance is the actual "Fresh Shirts" scent, as it smells like freshly washed clothes. The scent is very intense, to the point that it sometimes made my throat scratch, even though unfortunately the fragrance doesn't last very long. I would recommend it to a younger audience. I wouldn't rate the price-performance ratio very highly.

I have been using this perfume for about 20 years and it's always been amazing. It lasts for most of the day. It's a shame they stopped doing the powder and body cream that matched. It's good value too.

Compared to other scents this one has a distinct crisp and fresh hit when applied to the skin. If you want to compare this to another scent like the aqua di gio light blue. Whichever version of that fragance even the strong profondo has distinct burnt quality but still being light in freshness compared to this scent.

A fun version of the Y-line, but if you own YSL Y EDP (which is the one that you actually should own), then prepare to be disappointed, as this does not have a strong projection nor smell as strong as that. Like, at all.... As a perfume for itself, it is a good designer perfume. Extremely fresh. Eau de Toilette is the concentration for this Eau Fraiche - just so you know. Perfect "young boy" perfume that is extremely fresh. I don't know many other perfumes that are this fresh. It's also a bit sweet. It only lasts 4-5 hours on skin, and the same on clothing. A bit disappointed, but the smell is so nice.
