Having been somewhat unimpressed by the "Ice Dive (Eau de Toilette) | Adidas," I found the Ice Dive After Shave even weaker, more synthetic, and above all, more alcoholic. The longevity and sillage were quite poor as well. The top note resembles a fresh, aquatic shower gel with a lot of synthetics. The mint does indeed create a similarity to glacier ice candies. I also detect some grapefruit, yuzu, and lavender. The heart note remains synthetic-alcoholic with floral hints and a bit of sandalwood. The base note offers pepper, balsam, bourbon vanilla, along with tonka beans and amber.

Whoever buys this aftershave does not expect the ultimate fragrance experience. The average man does not want to spend a long time dealing with a large selection. Why should he - it’s just?! an aftershave. If it were to smell unusual and deviate from mainstream taste, the average guy would grab the next best thing. Adidas reaches more buyers with this product than a pricey perfume. So the company must have done something right. Men who want to be well-groomed but not stand out scent-wise get their daily freshness kick with this aftershave. Just apply deodorant and off you go. "Stop! This is totally boring!" the seasoned fragrance enthusiast might say. But that’s exactly the recipe for success. Simple, affordable, fresh - done!

This scent is very fresh and I appreciate it with a light spray. I actually use it in my car before a date as well. I think it smells like a fresh shower after the gym, if you have ever been to a gym that has high quality scented soap. That being said it is not my favorite scent as I prefer higher end designer colognes. If you spray too much it smells cheap. It is definitely a good buy for the price and has purposeful applications.
