Lalique White Homme is een frisse, schone citrus- en pepergeur met een elegante, minimalistische stijl. Veel gebruikers waarderen de originele opening met citroen, witte peper en een lichte bloemige toets, die het parfum onderscheidt van standaard aquatische of sportgeuren. Het is vooral geliefd als kantoor- en dagelijkse geur, omdat het netjes, niet opdringerig en toch duidelijk aanwezig is. De prestaties worden meestal omschreven als gemiddeld tot goed voor een frisse eau de toilette: de geur blijft enkele uren merkbaar, maar vult geen kamer. Een veelgenoemde keerzijde is dat de basis vrij generiek houtig en musky kan aanvoelen en minder interessant is dan de opening. Ook zoeken sommige kopers meer projectie of een sexier, avondgerichte geur. Dit maakt Lalique White vooral geschikt voor wie een betaalbare, cleane en discrete signatuurgeur zoekt, en minder voor wie een zware, club- of dategeur wil.

A truly wonderful, fresh fragrance with beautiful spicy elements. At first, it is noticeably spicier and more citrusy. After about 2 hours, however, it retreats considerably, and all that remains is a very gentle, close-to-the-skin and beautiful ambery scent. But you have to get quite close to the skin to smell anything at all. If the fragrance were somewhat stronger and longer-lasting, it would definitely be one of the best summer fragrances for me that do not go in the typical „Blue-Fragrance“ direction, which I do not particularly like anyway.

The opening features a sharpened pencil with a hint of citrus. The wood here is fresher than the bergamot. While this is certainly not unpleasant, it is confusing, even though I expect a prominent woodiness from Lalique. As it dries down, everything blends into a pleasant, spicy, woody freshness, with the spice remaining clear and cool; essentially pepper. Little sillage, longevity is okay, 5-6 hours. Somehow it reminds me of Silver Mountain Water in the way it affects me. Not that they smell similar, I feel them rather similarly, with the difference that I will wear the White with pleasure. Exactly what I expected; Encre Blanche. Citrus, cool spice, wood, that's it.
