Rochas Moustache Eau de Parfum staat bekend als een betaalbaar alternatief voor duurdere nichegeuren zoals YSL Tuxedo. De geur combineert citrus, peper, roos, vanille en amber tot een warme, elegante compositie die veel dragers als volwassen en sexy ervaren. De prestaties worden vaak geprezen: bij normaal gebruik blijft hij ongeveer een werkdag op de huid, met een projectie die merkbaar is maar niet overdreven aanwezig. Dat maakt hem geschikt voor kantoor, avonden en als dagelijkse signatuurgeur. De flacon voelt zwaar en luxe aan en de verstuiver wordt regelmatig positief genoemd. Tegelijk zijn er terugkerende kanttekeningen. De opening wordt door meerdere reviewers als wat synthetisch of scherp citrusachtig beschreven en de geur is vrij lineair, zonder grote ontwikkeling in de drydown. Ook de combinatie van roos en vanille kan voor liefhebbers van heel frisse of ultra-mannelijke geuren wat te zoet of bloemig zijn. Wie echter een warme, veelzijdige en luxe ogende geur zoekt voor een relatief lage prijs, krijgt hier volgens veel bronnen bijzonder veel waar voor zijn geld.

De parfum heeft een erg muffe geur. Na het opzoeken van het batch-nummer blijkt dat deze parfum geproduceerd is op 13/09/2018.. Meer dan 5,5 jaar oud dus... Na een aantal jaren gaat de geur van een parfum er op achter uit, dat is met deze dus gebeurd.

Moustache EdP is, at the closest, a highly abstract take on the original. With sweet mandarin in place of the reference sharp citruses and amped-up vanilla in the base (and, I suspect, some uncredited cashmeran), it’s a nearly gourmand interpretation of Moustache. Which is to say, barely Moustache at all. Change the name and bottle, and you have a perfectly nice scent—warm, smooth, and passably naturalistic as modern woody ambers go. At under $40 for 75ml from popular discounters, it’s a decent value: I’ve sampled a whole lot of fragrances that cost a lot more and smell a lot worse, so it gets a thumbs-up. That said, it’s not so distinctive that I need a bottle. I’ll stick with vintage Moustache.

It is in my top 3 winter favorites. It is a warm and sweet fragrance. The pink pepper, the rose, the wood and the benzoin combination is just fantastic for cold time. I got very good projection 4/5, good sillage 3/5 and moderate projection 2.5/5

A very classy scent that is let down a little bit by very poor longevity on me. It opens with a soft orange and vanilla note and dries down quite quickly into a rose/vanilla combo without ever being sweet. I get maybe an hour of projection and it is down to a skin scent on me in two hours. The short while it lasts earns it a thumbs up.
